Policies

1.
Pre-payment

The first lesson is paid for as a standalone lesson so the student and teacher can make sure they are a proper fit. Payment is made prior to the lesson to reserve the time slot.

Subsequent lessons must be purchased on the day of the last paid lesson. Lessons are purchased in blocks of four lessons.

Unused lessons expire 6 months after booking unless otherwise arranged with the teacher via email. Students are free to reschedule their lessons for any time during this duration.

2.
Accountability

If a student is unable to make their scheduled lesson, the lesson must be rebooked or cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled lesson time.

No shows or lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full lesson fee. There are no exceptions to this rule
(not even 47 hours).

If a student is late, the teacher can only guarantee the remaining duration of the scheduled hour. Any lost time is not refunded or guaranteed to be made up.

3.
Practice

Students should expect to practice in order to receive the full benefit of the lessons. This is best done daily for at least 30 minutes or in two 15 minute segments.

If you are unable to practice consistently, I understand, life happens. I won't be mad or make you feel bad, but we may need to talk about whether this is the best time for lessons right now.

You are paying to see improvement in your guitar playing, and I want to give you your money's worth; it will be discouraging if you are unable to progress due to lack of practice.
